Hull University Union is looking for a new Chief Executive to continue our journey as an excellent Union at the forefront of student experience.
After a transformative year as UK City of Culture 2017, Hull is an exciting place to be, with a raised profile and infectious energy. Our University is an anchor institution in our local community, rich in history but with state-of-the art new facilities, inspiring staff and a real sense of community it offers a unique student experience. A £200m investment scheme to create a connected campus university over the next three years mean our focus on student engagement and support are critical to the University’s future. This focus will be aided by a £4.8m University funded investment in our building.
The Union has faced challenges over the last four years. We’ve come through these stronger, with a clear vision, an agreed strategy, strong relationships with the University, a good financial base and a talented team. We’ve created the foundations and now want someone to bring challenge, drive, leadership and deep management experience to take us to the next level.
Coming from any sector or background, our next Chief Executive will have depth as a senior manager and values-based leader. They’ll have excellent partnership experience, build brilliant relationships and show a real passion for creating high-performing cultures that balance delivery, accountability and engagement. They’ll have excellent judgement, with the experience to thrive in a complex stakeholder and student-led environment.
