Achieving an organisation’s full potential depends on creating a culture where individuals are enabled (and expected) to perform at their best. It requires great leadership and a high level of change-management competence, not only from the Chief Executive, but also from directors and senior managers. Coaching is the most effective approach to developing the higher-level skills which distinguish outstanding performers from average ones, enabling rapid change and improved effectiveness. Non-judgemental, non-directive and developmental, coaching can also be applied to teams.
Our coaching process is based on face-to-face meetings between coach and client (or clients) once a month, typically for one year, with regular communication between meetings. The client sets the agenda, and the process is managed by the coach to maximise professional development as well as to resolve specific issues. Expectations of the outcomes and measures of success are agreed at the outset, together with a sequence of actions to achieve these outcomes. Progress is reviewed at each meeting, at which we also agree actions for the next period.
We never allow the process to degrade into a comfortable monthly chat; our robust, sometimes challenging approach is rooted in our belief that the most valuable insights will come from you.
