Cultural Change

Sometimes a culture change is required to make an organisation truly effective. Changing culture can be seen as changing the organisations values and behaviours. For the change to be embedded, the values will need to be written down, communicated and acted out  within the organisation. This can only be done by ensuring that the people, policies and procedures are designed to reflect the desired culture.

Culture change must have a clear purpose of improving performance and cannot be change for its own sake.  The culture of a high performing organisation is likely to be results orientated, have clear, joined up objectives, inspired leadership, integrity, reward linked to performance and be diverse in its workforce. The key to changing culture is inspired leadership, with leaders role modelling the required behaviours.
