Cumbria Vision

Cumbria’s current economic development activity has been fragmented and insufficiently focused to be transformational. By leading economic regeneration in Cumbria, Cumbria Vision will transform the County through integrated, transformational and sustainable economic development into a competitive, high added value, knowledge based, inclusive economy.

To do this, Cumbria Vision was looking for a newChair, to provide clear leadership and direction for the experienced Board with a responsibility to build on the progress made so far and engage all key stakeholders across the public and private sectors, from Cumbria County Council and other local authorities, to major national and regional commercial organisations.

Flexibility

At Proventure we have a tried and tested recruitment framework that has been frequently commented on favourably over the years, but we do not see recruitment as merely a set process that clients should conform to and our consultants tick off against.

While we are a supplier of services to the client, we are also a partner to the client’s aims and ambitions, and as such our relationship with the client goes beyond a simple supplier based one.

Even before taking us on we do our best to provide flexibility in our proposal by giving more than one financial option where possible.

While taking briefings with the client we are continuously reappraising our role and our understanding of the short and long term goals of the client with the aim of formulating a recruitment and communication plan that can best serve their needs.

This use of expert consultants and a framework ensures that we are flexible to changes within a recruitment project. In the past these have been changes to roles, changes to project milestones and even changes to the project in its entirety such as swapping from recruiting an interim position to recruiting to a permanent one.
